CDC: Glow still on
Chief Executive Officer of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) Ashford Wood earlier this week issued a statement, reassuring fans of the show GLOW that the event will take placed as scheduled.{{more}}
The statement was released in response to a news report carried on SVG TV, which indicated that the show earmarked for July 1st had been cancelled.
The dress-in-all white themed show, which takes place at the Victoria Park, features a host of local acts, with a regional soca artiste complementing their performances.
The CEO indicated to SEARCHLIGHT that although some concerns were raised by the showâs franchise owner in the early stages, the show will go on as expected.
The statement called on patrons to turn out in the usual numbers to the event, which is quickly becoming one of the more anticipated shows on the carnival calendar. (JJ)
