Soca stars to battle for final spots at Victoria Park Sunday
Many are called but few will be chosen.
Before seventeen of this countryâs biggest soca bards can legitimately challenge the seven time monarch for his title as King, they will have to battle for a spot in the
semifinals on Sunday June 29th at Victoria Park.{{more}}
Thirty-five hopefuls were selected, of which half will move on to one of, if not, the most anticipated show on Carnival Calendar slated for Saturday July 5th.
The artistes to vie in the semi finals are: Full Clip, Zoelah, Skarpyon, Godfrey Dublin, Bunny Rebel, Lady D, Coyaba, Philly Dilly, Busta Ski, Fire Empress, Skinny Fabulous, Homey, Lan Lord, Tamisha, Squitty, Hans, Icon.
Also contesting will be Crazy Angle, Danielle Veira, Dani O, Maddzart, Sharlene, Eggy B, Problem Child, Lively, Dennis Bowman, KGB, Lawyer Boy, Ellegance, Demus, Top Notch Swift, Alla G, DJ20, and Bomani.
The singers will receive musical accompaniment up by bands HS PHaktor and Hottsand.
Reigning monarch is seven-time winner Fireman Hooper.
