Come tomorrow Saturday February 3 at the Chamber of Commerce Car Park, the winners of the âHairoun Beer Fair of the Yearâ competition would announced.
At a Press Conference at the St Vincent Brewery on Tuesday January 30, organiser of the event, Regis âSplectronâ Williams outlined the 16 categories and urged the public to vote by text or on forms that have been supplied throughout the public to select their favourite nominees.{{more}}
Williams said that the event which begins at 8pm has nominations for: Artistes of the Year, Ragga Soca Single, Soca Collaboration, Man of the Year, Song of the Year, Nightspot of the Year, Band of the Year, Best New Artiste, Best Female Artiste, Best Social Commentry, Best Reggae Artiste and Entertainer of the Year.
The organiser said that the awards which resemble microphones, would be given to the winners in a show of appreciation for their contribution to the nation, especially during the carnival season.
A comedy showcase would be performed by Williams and Maurice Horne to honour the work of the late comedian Lucien âSalucheâ Small who passed away last month at his home.
