Soca Fest boils off this weekend

This Sunday all roads lead to the Cumberland beach in North Leeward for the final show down of Soca Fest 2006.

According to lead promoter for Hott Vibes Promotion, Stewart “Rudy” Louie, this year’s Soca Fest brings a higher quality of entertainment to Vincy Mas.{{more}}

Soca Fest, now in its third year, opened at the start of this year’s carnival season with a euphoric performance from Grenadian entertainer Rodney Isaacs.

Sunday’s climax will see appearances from five- time road march winner Poorsah, the dynamic duo of DJ Twenty and Sexy Sugars, Fireman Hooper, AllaG, Luta, Icon, Virus, Skinny Fabulous and Scorpion.

Louie, a long-standing member and manager of the Roses Crew entertainment outfit said the Soca Fest event is designed to push upcoming entertainers from the North Leeward area.

Louie boasted than since Roses Crew came on the carnival scene, their members have been performing creditably every carnival season.

“We will be looking to take both the Soca Monarch and Road March titles to North Leeward this year,” Louie added.
