Barrouallie carnival climaxes this weekend

The Barrouallie 2006 Carnival activities climax this weekend. On Friday 23rd June the Miss Barrouallie Yesteryear 2006 would see five ladies vying to take over the reins from Miss Glebe Hill – Mary Bulse last year’s queen.{{more}}

This year the ladies are representing their villages as follows: MissFlora Bobb- Miss Three Acres, Miss Melissa Dickson- Miss Kearton’s Hill, Miss Anthea John – Miss Reversion, Miss Dolitha John – Miss Morgan Square, and Miss Sylvia Johnson- Miss Green Hill. The ladies will make four appearances: Cultural Wear Introduction, Talent, evening Wear, and Interview.

After the Miss Yesteryear Pageant, the 2006 Bagga Soca-Monarch competition will be held. Artistes slated for this event include Prodi, Busta Ski, Black Boy, and Splendid.

The shows will be held at the Barrouallie Community Centre and starts at 8:00 pm. Immediately after the shows the J’Ouvert Jump-up would be held. Artistes scheduled to make appearances at these activities include Sexy Sugars, DJ 20 and Fireman Hooper. The Evening-Jump-up was scheduled for the evening of the 24th of June, but has been rescheduled to 15th July 2006 since this event clashes with CDC’s – Super Jamz.
