SHE may cover Image Show 2005

SHE Caribbean Magazine, a leading regional fashion magazine, published in St. Lucia just may be covering the 2005 annual Image Modelling Agency’s Fashion Caribbean show.

According to a press release from the agency, hosting the magazine team would be costly, but Image is hoping to overcome their financial constraints. They noted that the aim is not only to cover Fashion Caribbean, but to also do a spread on St. Vincent and the Grenadines, making it perhaps one of the few countries ever to have made the pages of SHE Caribbean. {{more}}

The Image Modelling Agency is now appealing to the general public to come forward with sponsorship for this regional undertaking. They have been receiving support from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and say they intend to put on a “first class show, which their valued supporters have become accustomed to.” They have also expressed the hope that St. Vincent and the Grenadines will in the near future be able to have its very own Fashion Week, following in the footsteps of Jamaica, Barbados, and Tobago.

The catwalk event would be held on Saturday, September 10, at the Sunset Shores Hotel. The show will feature Pat Brathwaite and Avark of Barbados, The Millhouse of Trinidad, Brown Sugar, St. Kitts, Calvin Southwell, Antigua, Gilda Miller of Martinique and from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Kimon Baptiste, Kimya Glasgow, Patrice Reddock, and Shelline Williams. This is the fifth year that show will be held.
