Miss SVG contestants ready

With the show just one week away, the big question is, who would be crowned Miss SVG 2005?

The nine ladies have been making regular appearances around the towns and villages as they continue to meet and greet people at various functions. {{more}}

The contestants are: Richenda Deane-Miss Mustique Company, Shanika Findlay-Miss Caribbean Medical Imaging Centre, Danielle France-Miss Super Six, Dorcel John- Miss Vincentian Publishing, Cassian King-Miss Baileys Irish Cream, Casynella Ollivierre-Miss Lotto, Nelicia Rodriguez-Miss Franco Construction, Rafika Samuel-Miss Mount Gay Rum and La Keisha Williams-Miss National Insurance Services.

They have undergone intensive training by the Carnival Development Committee CDC while their talent performances will be scrutinised by a committee before the show to ensure that they are tasteful and not too lengthy.

The big event is scheduled for Saturday 28 at the Victoria Park from 8p.m. The guest artistes would be “Kross Fyah” from Barbados led by Vincentian Tony “Rebel” Bailey.

The theme for Vincy Mas 2005 is Mas, Action, Thrills and Vibes for Vincy Mas 2005.

Reigning Miss SVG Javorne Williams, currently pursing studies at the University of the West Indies, UWI will crown the 2005 winner. Up for grabs in this contest is a unversity scholarship.
