Let's Talk Sex

Alternative sex organs

As a doctor, I cannot forget the audience and readership that do not fit into traditional and religious stereotypes of human sexuality. These people are called gays, bisexual or lesbians. Some use derogatory words as fags, homos, wickers, battymen and lesbo.{{more}} I look forward to the day when these terms of intolerance will be outlawed in our society as many of these people find themselves in situations which they cannot control and research has been leading the way to suggest a strong genetic component. Besides, these “people” are our brothers, sisters, teachers, lawyers, doctors, priests, pastors, clerks and secretaries. Many of them are afraid of who they are and live unbearable lives of agony and ambivalence. I refuse to join with the majority in ridiculing them and will sometimes refer to homosexual intercourse. These individuals are also my patients and sometimes seek help for sexual problems.

For this group of individuals the organs of sexual excitement remain mainly the brain and sense organs as in the heterosexuals, but extend to include the anus and rectum. Indeed some heterosexual men and women find these areas erogenous! One should not forget the mouth and tongue as sex organs for all classes of people. For many they are the main source of pleasure as the traditional sex organs are non functional or absent.

Some, because of religious reasons will not engage in penetrative sex as it is labeled as “fornication” but will engage in fallatio (blow job) or “going-down” without the guilt. Recently, in the United States, there was a trend reported among young religious women pledging chastity. They preferred to engage in anal sex as it meant that they will not loose their “virginity”. These sexual anomalies are the reasons why we need to have an open discussion about sex in our society.

In short, any organ of the body can be used as the focus of sexual gratification. Sexual organs are as varied as there are individuals. I am always amazed at the ways people find to enpleasure themselves. Even food can be used as objects and organs of pleasure and can be used to replace the “normal” organs. We are all aware of fruits and vegetables such as bananas, plantains and cucumbers being used to replace the penis. Some women actually prefer these as they say they do not “cheat” on them and certainly do not “come” before them. I have treated and removed object such as bottles, batteries, spoons and other objects from the anus and vaginas from individuals, some of whom are not mentally deranged.

Only recently I learned that “sex toys” such as dildoes are outlawed in this country and have heard stories of people who had to hide them in strange place in order to pass through our customs. I have even heard of individuals who had to plead with customs officers not to confiscate their sex toys when they were inadvertently discovered. I hope for the day when these archaic laws will be changed, especially as we are beginning to embrace tourism as a major part of our economy!

I recently removed several foreign objects from under the penile skin of an ex-convict who was proud to declare that the minor surgery for their implantation is done regularly among inmates behind the prison walls. It only came to my attention as one of these foreign bodies became infected. This individual was proudly displaying his studded penis as a treasure and was very sad to see them removed. He told me “doc, the girls prefer it this way as it gives them more pleasure”. It reminds me of “rough rider” condoms whose motto is “studded for extra pleasure”
