Discrepancies at two schools delay release of CXC results -Education Minister
Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Innovation, Digital Transformation and Information, Phillip Jackson, has explained that the customary publication of the national Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) results have been temporarily withheld due to discrepancies involving two local schools.
Jackson addressed this matter during a parliamentary sitting yesterday, Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at the House of Assembly.
While congratulating the nation’s students for making St. Vincent and the Grenadines proud, Minister Jackson assured the public that the ministry is working closely with the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) to rectify the issues.
“All of you, since Tuesday 18, were able to go on the CXC platform and get your resources and share it with your family and friends and on Facebook,” Minister Jackson stated.
Expressing his happiness for the successful candidates, the education minister also offered words of motivation to those who may have missed the mark, encouraging them to utilize upcoming opportunities to get back on track. He urged students who fell below the passing grade to resit the examinations in January.
