Firearm from Georgetown Police Station still missing
ALL THE MEN who were imprisoned in connection with the disappearance of firearms and ammunition from the Georgetown Police Station armoury in June, 2021 have served their sentences, but one of the four firearms that went missing has never been found.
Acting Commissioner of Police (COP) Trevor “Buju” Bailey spoke about the still missing firearm on August 20, 2026, at the Central Police Station in Kingstown where a press briefing was held to address a surge in gun violence and serious crimes in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Responding to a question from a reporter, Bailey said all except one of the guns was recovered “from the best of my knowledge”.
He said currently, the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), is laser focussed on curbing the flow of guns entering St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), which find their way into the hands of criminals.
