Educator dies in freak accident
CONDOLENCES CONTINUE to be expressed online for the family of Sherefa Clouden-Gonsalves, the educator who died over the weekend after a freak accident involving a Toyota Hilux (a midsize body-on-frame pickup truck).
Reports are that Clouden- Gonsalves had returned to her Richmond Hill/Murray’s Village home after attending the Ital Fest event in Arnos Vale with family members, when she was pinned between the door of the pickup truck after trying to retrieve an item from the parked vehicle.
A friend said that Clouden- Gonsalves had returned to the parked vehicle she had just exited because she had forgotten something in the Toyota Hilux.
While trying to retrieve the item, the vehicle rolled back, and the educator was crushed after she was caught between the door of the runaway vehicle.
The vehicle, which was parked on an incline, eventually came to a stop when the back struck a nearby structure.
