NASCAR’s Rajah Caruth on historic homecoming to SVG

THE St.Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA) is waiting proudly to welcome home Rajah Caruth, professional NASCAR driver and Sporting Ambassador for St.Vincent and the Grenadines, for a special homecoming visit from August 12–16, 2026.

Caruth, one of motorsport’s brightest young stars, has proudly embraced his Vincentian heritage throughout his racing career, bringing greater visibility to the destination, the St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA), states in a release.

“His return home represents not only a celebration of his remarkable achievements, but also an opportunity to inspire the nation’s youth while showcasing the beauty, culture and hospitality of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to audiences across the Caribbean and beyond.”

The visit will be documented by TEMPO Networks, a valued media partner of both Rajah Caruth and the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority.

“Through its regional and international platforms,TEMPO Networks will showcase Rajah’s homecoming while highlighting the rich culture, heritage and tourism experiences of St.Vincent and the Grenadines, further elevating the destination’s profile across key markets,” the SVGTA also states.

Rajah Caruth will arrive at Argyle International Airport on Wednesday, August 12, where he will receive an official VIP welcome hosted by the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority. Following his arrival, members of the media will have the opportunity to participate in a short welcome media conference at the airport’s VIP Lounge.

Immediately after, Rajah will embark on a ceremonial motorcade accompanied by members of the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Race Car Association, travelling to Barrouallie, the home town of his mother, and a community that holds deep significance to his Vincentian roots.

The homecoming celebrations will continue with a vibrant community street party in Barrouallie, where residents, supporters and visitors will gather to celebrate one of the country’s most accomplished sporting ambassadors.

The event will feature cultural performances; live entertainment and music; community engagement activities; opportunities for fans to meet and welcome Rajah; and a celebration of Vincentian pride and heritage. He will also headline a symposium on Thursday, August 13, at the Peace Memorial Hall from 10:00 a.m that will bring together students, young athletes, aspiring professionals and motorsport enthusiasts for an engaging conversation about perseverance, purpose and success.

Drawing from his experiences rising through the ranks of professional motorsport, Rajah will share valuable insights on: building discipline and resilience; representing one’s country on the international stage; the importance of education, preparation and hard work; creating opportunities through passion and determination; and pursuing dreams despite obstacles.

Throughout his visit, Rajah will also participate in radio and digital media interviews, sharing his personal journey, reflecting on his Vincentian heritage and encouraging members of the diaspora and international audiences to experience St. Vincent and the Grenadines for themselves.

“Rajah Caruth’s homecoming is about much more than celebrating an accomplished athlete. It is an opportunity to celebrate a proud Vincentian whose story demonstrates what is possible through hard work, dedication and belief. His journey is one that we hope will inspire Vincentians at home and abroad, while also providing an important platform to showcase the culture, warmth and unique experiences that make St.Vincent and the Grenadines such a special destination,” CEO of the SVGTA Shafia London is quoted as stating.
