SATURDAY JULY 25, 2026 saw the closing of a chapter in the carnival history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, when J’Ouvert Fanatics announced that the organisation was calling it quits on their participation in the nation’s biggest cultural festival. The announcement, mentioned on J’Ouvert morning, 2026, was formally communicated to the public at a ceremony held on July 25, upstairs the Kingstown Vegetable Market where members of the band and well-wishers, and invited guests gathered to reminisce.
