Cyclist who knocked down elderly man turns himself in

The cyclist who, on Wednesday July 29, 2026 knocked down an elderly man and left the scene is said to have turned himself in to law enforcement over the weekend and is under investigation for several violations.

Meanwhile, the elderly man, Elton “Shepherd” Cumberbatch, a 75-yearold retiree, underwent surgery on Monday, August 3, 2026, to correct injuries to his face; he remains a patient on the Male Surgical Ward of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH).
