NDP activist beats up on NDP politician over use of Boxing Plant
A political activist, disc jockey, and promoter attached to the New Democratic Party (NDP), has warned one of the party’s politicians that voters will make him pay at the polls during the next general elections.
Joel “Tha Fugitive” Bibby, made the declaration in a rant on social media over the weekend after he was denied the use of a government owned boxing plant to host an after party activity following a carnival street jump up in North Central Windward.
Bibby said he was seeking to use the yard of a boxing plant but was given the runaround by a permanent secretary and a minister. On social media, and among other political activists the minister has been identified as Minister of Agriculture, Israel Bruce, who is also the parliamentary representative for South Central Windward.
Bibby said he had made phone calls to the minister, who at one point told him to check with the permanent secretary to get the use of the boxing plant, but after several phone calls, both parties stopped answering their phones.
Bibby said he eventually decided to use the yard of the boxing plant but law enforcement intervened resulting in him, and others, losing their investments.
The popular disc-jockey said several people had prepared food for sale, and had also bought ice and drinks to sell.
