Former murder accused dies apparently by the gun
Nicholas “Nick Nick” Oliver of Calliaqua, who more than 20 years ago was among four suspects in a murder investigation, has now become the victim in a homicide investigation.
Oliver’s body was discovered in the vicinity of the Anglican Church at Golden Vale during the early hours of Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said the 51-year-old watchman was found with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical practitioner.
“Investigations into the circumstances surrounding Oliver’s death are ongoing. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is urged to contact the Major Crimes Unit/Criminal Investigations Department at 1-784-456-1810, Police Control at 1-784-457-1211, or the nearest police station,” a police release stated,” promising that all information will be treated with strictest confidence, and extending “ sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased”.
