SVG pays last respects to late social activist
THE WIDOW of the late veteran, social activist, journalist and Searchlight columnist Renwick ‘Kamara’ Rose paid homage to him, indicating to a full Kingstown Methodist Church that one of his last requests he made on the day he died, was for her to continue her service to humanity.
Renwick Rose died on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, and he was laid to rest at the Kingstown Cemetery on Friday, June 19, 2026 following his funeral service at the Kingstown Methodist Church.
His wife, Ancelma Rose, who delivered his eulogy also at his request, told the congregation that their positive energies will not only inspire the Rose family on the day of the funeral, but also going forward.
GENERAL SECRETARY of the National Workers Movement (NWM) Noel Jackson
“One of the last requests my husband made of me the day he died- I was going to a meeting, and when I saw his condition, I said do you still want me to go? He said, ‘I want you to go to continue your service to humanity’.”
