Vincentian Kemarlie Durrant honored with MCU outstanding youth award in Taiwan
KEMARLIE DURRANT STOOD out as the only international student honoured among the 12 recipients of the 2026 Ming Chuan University Outstanding Youth Award.
During a ceremony held atYixian Hall in Taipei on May 15, the 22year- ld former SEARCHLIGHT court reporter was presented with the 2026 OutstandingYouth Award, which honours students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character while making meaningful contributions to the university and wider society.
In an interview with SEARCHLIGHT, Durrant said he felt extremely proud and grateful when he first learnt about the award.
“Being the only international student from the International College, and especially being from St Vincent and the Grenadines, makes this achievement feel even more meaningful.”
