Brothers move up as Deputy Commissioners of Police
TWO BROTHERS who serve this country as law enforcement officers will be moving up within the top ranks within the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF).
Six months into his tenure as the Minister of National Security and Deputy Prime Minister, St. Claire Leacock announced changes in the leadership of the Police High Command on NBC Radio’s Face to Face Programme last Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
In these changes, in what he said is history in the making, two brothers who serve this country as law enforcement officers have been promoted to the ranks of Deputy Commissioner of Police.They are Trevor “Buju” Bailey, whose last posting was Assistant Commissioner of Police, and Duane Bailey, who served as Superintendent of Prisons.
The National Security Minister highlighted that the current Deputy Commissioner of Police Frankie Joseph, who is currently acting for the Commissioner Enville Williams, ”is going to go off just now”.
“When he proceeds on leave, Trevor ‘Buju’ Bailey will be acting as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Joseph’s space.
“His brother SOP Dwayne, will also take up a new position as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), a position Leacock said he “thinks he has earned”.
