Teachers urged to take job seriously – Dr Friday
TEACHERS in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) have been asked to acknowledge that they have a responsibility when it comes to shaping young people, and bad experiences in the classroom can last a lifetime.
The request came last week Thursday, April 30, 2026 from Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday, who also stressed that a country like SVG that lacks natural resources must focus on its human resource, hence, education is important for national development.
The prime minister was speaking at the 2026 Taiwanese Scholarship Awards Ceremony held at the Charles Adams Anglican High School in Bequia.
“…there is nothing more precious that you would possess, whether it’s the fabled iPhone or a computer or whatever, nothing is more valuable, more useful than the natural intelligence that God gave you.
