Opposition Leader defends API’s acting Director
FORMER PRIME MINISTER, now Leader of the Opposition Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, is of the opinion that the current administration has inflated the “genuine error” made by the acting Director of the Agency for Public Information (API), Nadia Slater when he was referred to as the prime minister, and has accused leaders in the New Democratic Party of bullying her.
Speaking during his radio show on Star FM yesterday, May 4, 2026 Dr. Gonsalves said there is a madness which is gripping the New Democratic Party (NDP) leadership and the madness is being seen in all sort of ways such as “…the firing of people, the bullying of public servants whom they can’t fire, the way…in which…the ruling politicians are behaving, the heartlessness in many…cases being displayed”.
