Minister claims computers in New York consulate wiped
WHO WIPED the computers at St Vincent and the Grenadines’ (SVG) consulate in New York (NY) is just one of the issues currently being investigated by the New Democratic Party (NDP) administration.
This was revealed in the House of Assembly on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 by parliamentary representative for East Kingstown Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble, who is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs.
“…Madam Speaker, allow me to just emphasize, though, since I have the opportunity in my capacity as Minister of Foreign Affairs, to say that this new administration has made a deliberate shift away from a model of diplomacy defined primarily by presence and toward one defined by performance,” Minister Bramble told the House on Tuesday as he responded to a question from the Opposition.
He said the government has started the process of reimagining, redefining and restructuring the roles of the country’s overseas missions, but the process has been challenging.
“Quite frankly, the process of transition has been very disappointing… primarily because of some unfavourable realities that we have encountered and inherited,” Bramble stated.
