Community College Hospitality students nail All-Inclusive event
YEAR TWO STUDENTS from the hospitality course at the Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE) successfully hosted an all-inclusive event titled ‘Pastels and Prosecco’ on Friday, April 17, 2026.
The event, which took place at the Diamond facility, formed part of the students’ final- year course requirements and served as a practical component of their studies in events and conference planning. The event was spearheaded by Corazon Henry, a lecturer at the Hospitality and Training Institute of the DTVE, who guided the students through the process of organizing and executing a professional event. The occasion showcased not only the students’ creativity but also the skills they developed throughout their training.
In an interview with SEARCHLIGHT on Monday, April 20, 2026, DTVE student Shyantae Pitt, shared insights into the planning and execution of the event.
She explained that “the group had a total of 48 persons who came together to execute the event”.
