New Government receives counsel from Pastor Brent
WITH THE GENERAL ELECTIONS season over in St Vincent and the Grenadines, and a new prime minister now in office, one religious leader here is calling for a post-election paradigm shift in the way of life in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).
This call came from Pastor Brent St Jean of the Seventh Day Adventist Church as he delivered the charge during the swearing in ceremony of the new Cabinet of Ministers in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex on Tuesday, November 2,2025.
Six days prior, the New Democratic Party (NDP), had swept the polls in general elections 14 seats to 1.
The NDP had as its campaign slogan “yellow is the code”, similar to that used by Trinidad and Tobago’s United National Congress (UNC) in general elections in April this year. However, on Tuesday, Pastor St Jean charged the new administration, “ as you get sworn into office, that must change.
