Time to Go! PM Gonsalves calls for resignation of CWI Board

Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves has called for the resignation of the entire board of Cricket West Indies (CWI) over its recent below-par performances on the field.

“Given the terrible performance of Cricket West Indies over the whole period, I have to join with other leaders and other informed persons across the region to call for the resignation of the entire board of West Indies Cricket,”

Dr Gonsalves said on NBC Radio on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

CWI is headed as President by Vincentian, Dr Kishore Shallow, who also is an opposition New Democratic Party’s (NDP’s) newcomer for the North Leeward constituency.

He has come under severe criticism after the team’s poorest batting performance in a test, and calls have been made for his head.
