SVG Welcomes Logos Hope

Logos Hope, the world’s largest floating book fair, was welcomed to Port Kingstown on Friday, May, 30, 2025.

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture said it extended a warm welcome to the ship’s international crew as they docked at Port Kingstown, bringing with them a unique blend of literature, learning, and cultural exchange.

This global vessel represents a beacon of knowledge and goodwill, offering thousands of affordable books, inspirational resources, and engaging community activities for persons of all ages, the ministry said further.

The Department of Culture said it views the visit as an enriching opportunity for Vincentians to interact with diverse cultures and ideas.

Logos Hope said its onboard book fair will offer an expanded selection of over 5,000 different titles of books that cover a wide range of subjects including science, sports, hobbies, cookery, arts, medicine, languages and faith. It also includes children’s titles, academic texts, dictionaries and atlases.

The ship’s book fair will be open to the public from June 5-15.

In celebration of the visit, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture is encouraging members of the public to take part in the ship’s open sessions, exhibitions, and fellowship opportunities while it is in port.
