Jeep ‘sleeps’ on man’s house
A man from Coconut Range, Campden Park was sleeping “with me heart in me hand” while an overturned vehicle leaned against his house for over 15 hours following a road accident.
On May 4, 2025 around 6:00 p.m, a vehicle overturned on Fawcett Williams’ home, damaging electrical wires outside of the house as well as part of the roof.
Hours later when SEARCHLIGHT spoke with him, the vehicle was still lying on the house.
“I wasn’t really home. It was my girlfriend who been home because me been done leave from home,” he said.
Williams said that she called him and notified him about a vehicle that overturned on their house. When he sought help to remove the vehicle, he was informed that one of the cranes was in Georgetown and the other was unavailable.
Williams said his girlfriend, who did not sustain any injuries during the incident, told him that she also did not sleep after the accident occurred.
