Vincy Heat loses Gold Cup hopes

A 1-1 draw versus Jamaica at the Arnos Vale Playing Field on March 21, 2025, engendered that spark of hope that St Vincent and the Grenadines’ Vincy Heat could hold their own in the return leg.

But the Vincentians were unable to unlock the Jamaicans’ goal last Tuesday night, March 25, 2025, at Sabina Park.

Instead, the Jamaicans finished on top, with a 3-0 win, thus making the tie, 4-1 in their favour, and a place in the Concacaf Gold Cup in June of this year.

After matching the host stride for stride in the opening minutes, Jamaica found the go-ahead goal in the 25th minute through a rasping right footer from Warner Brown.
