Teenage vehicle crash victim laid to rest

Copious tears flowed on Sunday, March, 16, 2025 as loved ones and friends paid their final respects to Normanie Duncan, the 19 year old who died in an accident in Gorse on Sunday, February 2, 2025. And, as the pastor committed the body to the earth, anguished screams rang out at the funeral service which was held at the Owia Seventh Day Adventist Church, where glowing tributes were paid to the young man. A large crowd turned out to pay their last respects to the teenager whose life was cut short in the rental vehicle accident, just over a month ago.

The deceased youth was described as fun loving, and an avid cricket and football lover who at one time, managed the North Star 11 Cricket Team. Normanie was eulogized as someone who believed he could conquer whatever he put his hands to.

The young man also was remembered as being adventurous and “always found a way to make everyone around him laugh.”
