Schools 2025 Performing Arts Festival now underway

The first preliminary round of this year’s Primary School Performing Arts Festival (PRISPAF), kicked off at the Peace Memorial Hall, after a media launch on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Sean Frederick, the Cultural Officer Assistant in charge of Drama/Theatre, chaired the launch ceremony and officially opened the festival’s first preliminary round in Kingstown.

In total, there will be seven judged preliminary rounds, including Kingstown, running until Tuesday, February 25. The other participating zones are North Leeward, South Leeward, South Windward, North Windward, The Valley, and the Grenadines.

This year, the beverage company contributed $13,550 to the festival; $1,450 short of last year’s $15,000 contribution.
