Holiday Inn Hotel at Diamond to open soon

Hotel development in St Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to move to yet another level with the expected of the Holiday Inn Express hotel at Diamond.

Word of this came from Deputy Prime Minister, Montgomery Daniel when he spoke on NBC Radio’s Face to Face on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in his capacity of Acting Prime Minister.

He said the handing-over ceremony will be on November 16, and has a scheduled 4:00 p.m. start.

Minister Daniel said this new hotel at Diamond will accept its first guests on November 22, 2024, and is already fully booked for the remainder of this year.

“We are happy that we are where we are at this time,” the minister said, adding that this is an indication that “St Vincent and the Grenadines is moving on” and can pride itself with having brand name hotels like Sandals.

Apart from tomorrow’s ceremony of the Holiday Inn Express, Daniel also spoke of another hotel brand which is coming to St Vincent and the Grenadines. He said the Marriott Hotel will build at Mt Wynne and work will begin by the end of the first quarter of 2025.

The minister expressed the view that St Vincent and the Grenadines is moving ahead in terms of hotel development, and indicated these developments are helping to ensure a bright future for this sector of the economy. The Holiday Inn Express at Diamond is a 93 room hotel.

It will host the West Indies and Bangladesh cricket teams as its first guests.
