Six beauties unveiled for Miss SVG pageant

Six contestants who will be vying to be Miss SVG 2024, were unveiled at a ceremony at the La Vue Boutique Hotel last Saturday June 15, 2024. The ceremony saw the delegates being sashed by their sponsors, and two new sponsors were welcomed in the Kingstown Co-operative Credit Union, and Lynch Caribbean Brokers.

Under the theme, ‘A Royal Dream’, a trumpet blast heralded the presentation of each of the six young ladies as they made their way towards the pool deck where the guests were gathered.
La Vue Hotel is one of the sponsors of the 2024 Miss SVG Pageant.

Constant number one is Lisha Beache, sponsored by JCI, and is an aspiring Criminologist and Computer Forensic Technician. Athalia Gloster is being sponsored by FLOW and aspires to be a first-class flight attendant. Lynch Caribbean Brokers’ first sponsor is contestant number three, Kewanna Hackshaw, who has interest in the field of architecture and is the 2023 Miss Easterval.

This year, the National Lotteries Authority has chosen their product ‘Insta Cash’ for sponsorship of Felicia Hector who is contestant number four; she anticipates to be an attorney-at-law and plans to use the Miss SVG 2024 platform to also launch a non-profit organisation. Aspiring artist, Alvina Pinder is contestant five and is sponsored by Grenadine House.
Contestant six is Zada Stephens, a loans officer at KCCU, who is her sponsor. Stephens has a love for the creative arts.

The event also heard speeches from chairman of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC), Ricardo Adams; General Manager of La Vue Boutique Hotel, Peter Edward; and the chairperson of the Beauty Shows committee, Aviar Charles. She announced that three golden tickets would be placed in three random packaging of the Vincentian chocolates ,with these tickets  persons can win various prizes. Charles also announced the continuation of the ECGC Cook Off, which she said was well received last year when it premiered. This was one of the activities in which the contestants competed.
The Miss SVG Pageant is set to take place on Saturday October 5, 2024, at Victoria Park.
