Arena blooms in Miss SVG Pageant

Arena Foy, Miss Massy Stores, rose above eight other contestants last Saturday night to capture the Miss SVG 2023 crown, at a well attended show at the Victoria Park in Kingstown.

Foy edged out the eight other competitors, becoming the first person to win the Miss SVG title under the sponsorship of Massy Stores. She also got the judges nod for her talent performance, during which she sang ‘Rise Up’.

If for some reason, Foy is unable to perform her duties as Ms SVG, then first runner up, Royesha Telemaque, Miss Intransit Exports, who won the judges nod for the Best Evening Wear and Best In Evening Wear categories, will take her place as Ms SVG 2023. Telemaque was also the winner of the ECGC People’s Choice award, a non-judged category.

Second runner up was Miss Play Four, Deana Fairbairn who, during the talent segment portrayed the importance of knowing who are your true friends.

Miss JCI St Vincent Tara Richardson tied with Miss National Lotteries Authority – Trina Hooper for the judged category of Best Interview.

Richardson also won the non-judged awards for Miss Congeniality and Deportment Excellence, and was first runner up for the GECCU Community Service Project.

The Best in Swimwear category was won by Miss Grenadine House Letiesha Barbour who also won the GECCU Community Service Project award.

The award for being the most Community Spirited went to Miss Coreas ACE Hardware Simesha Millington. She also won the Cultural Wear category and was second runner up in the GECCU Community Service Project.

Miss National Lotteries Authority (NLA) Trina Hooper won the Miss Photogenic award.

The other contestants were Miss Metrocint General Insurance Ltd Denicia Boatswain and Miss Flow, Nia Laborde.
