All stars, special awards presented at SVGCA Inc ceremony

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc on the night of Saturday December 21, at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, hosted its annual awards and gala dinner at which ‘all stars’ awards as well as three special awards were presented.

Taking the Clarence Paddy Thomas Youth Cricketer of the Year was Solomon Bascombe, with Juliana Nero copping the Phernel Charles Local Female Cricketer of the Year and Japhina Joseph taking the Cinda Bobb Regional Female Cricketer of the Year award.

Meanwhile, the Lance John Local male cricketer of the year award went to Lindon James, while Desron Maloney secured the Michael Findlay Regional male cricketer of the Year.

Sunil Ambris was named the Winston Davis international cricketer of the year.

There were also three special awards which were distributed.

The recipients were Elson Crick, Nixon Mc Lean and Rohan Thomas, for their contributions to cricket, in different areas.
