Woman dies on way to Adventist Convention

When Marilyn Isola Henry left home last Saturday, January 30, for a Seventh-Day Adventist convention at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, no one in her family was entertaining the idea that that would be the last time they would see her alive.

The 65-year-old Georgetown woman, whom persons also knew as ‘Mari’, {{more}}was involved in a deadly motor vehicle crash on Saturday at Argyle at around 8:45 a.m. She has gone down in history as the first road fatality for 2016.

Henry and five other persons were travelling in a Daihatsu minivan PV193, owned by Anthony Walker of Georgetown, but being driven by his 55-year-old mother Laverne Walker. Reports are that the driver lost control while travelling along the Argyle mainroad, at which time the vehicle ran off the road and overturned on the grassy roadside.

Henry, who would have celebrated her 66th birthday on July 25, fell out of the vehicle and died on the spot.
