‘Third World’ survives gun blast

Nigel ‘Third World’ Regisford had a close encounter with death last Monday night when he was ambushed and shot in his vehicle.{{more}}

The father of 10 who has been making immense efforts to turn his life around said he was attacked at approximately 9:00 p.m. as he was entering the yard of his residence at Calder.

When SEARCHLIGHT visited Regisford on Tuesday, September 22nd, at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, despite being in great discomfort, Regisford thanked God for sparing his life.

“I am feeling lots of pain in my neck,” said Regisford, who is 40 years old.

He recounted that he had been ‘liming’ with his friends and was returning home when he came under attack.

“I called my girlfriend and told her that I am coming home now. When I got inside the yard, I heard the grass mashing. The same time I heard the grass mashing, I turned around and saw someone like they trying to duck. Then immediately after, shots started to fire. I go down low in the vehicle, but by that time I had already pick up one in my neck,” said Regisford as he reflected on his assailant’s shooting spree.

Regisford remains adamant that he is not in conflict with anyone.

“I didn’t have anything with anybody. Me and nobody have beef or anything to sort out,” said Regisford.

“It’s just people who are covetous behind me and my hard work. It’s not like if I going and interfere with people or trouble people things,” stated Regisford, as he explained that he is a hardworking person who got shot for “nothing”.

“I thank God very much because He always loves me. I thank him very much for bringing me through the night after all this pain, because it was real pain all night. I feel so much pain that I didn’t even self know what to do,” lamented Regisford.

He said he would like to thank his girlfriend, as well as all those who visited him and assisted him in getting to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, especially Floyd Lewis.

“They saved my life,” Regisford exclaimed.
