The 19-year-old died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) on Monday night.

Reports claim that on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009, just after 5p.m., Baptiste was discovered almost lifeless, lying along a track in an area called Pepper Village.

The police were called in and he was rushed to the Sandy Bay Clinic before he was transferred to the MCMH.

SEARCHLIGHT contacted several relatives but they were all tight lipped on the matter.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Phileon Lavia of Magum was yesterday charged with causing Baptiste’s death.

Lavia, who was not allowed to enter a plea, is also charged with wounding Lemron George of Sandy Bay with intent.

The matter has been transferred to the Serious Offences Court, where Lavia will return on November 26th.
