Lowmans Leeward brothers on armed robbery charges

Two brothers from the Lowmans Leeward area are expected to appear before Serious Offences Court on Monday, December 12 to answer charges of armed robbery.

When they appeared before magistrate Bertie Pompey at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, December 6, Les and Lesroy Warren were charged that on July 2, 2016 at Campden Park,{{more}} using firearms, they robbed Roger Williams of items valued at EC$2,510.

They were further charged that on that same date they went into a shop owned by Lawrence Stapleton and stole items valued at EC$1,000.

Les,18, and his brother Lesroy, 21, were not allowed to plead in relation to the aggravated burglary charge, as it is indictable. They, however, pleaded not guilty to the robbing the shop.

Both brothers were granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one surety each and are expected to answer to the aggravated burglary charge on Monday at the Serious Offences Court.

Les and Lesroy will answer to the burglary charge on February 28, 2016 at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court.

The brothers are to report to the Questelles Police Station every Monday and Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and were ordered to have to no contact with the virtual complainants or the witnesses in their matter. (AS)
