Head of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Assistant Superintendent Sydney James told SEARCHLIGHT yesterday that O’Garro is still warded at the hospital, nursing a gunshot wound and is likely to be charged soon.

It is alleged that on July 28, at about 12 midnight, O’Garro broke into the Mahogany Square Bar at Richmond Hill.

It is alleged that while O’Garro made his way over the fence, owner of the bar, Earl “Groove Governor” Abraham, who was hiding in the dark, fired several shots in O’Garro’s direction, resulting in him being struck in the abdomen.

When we first reported on the incident at Mahogany Square Bar in our July 31, 2014 edition, we gave the name of the alleged burglar as Anthony James, which is the name he had given to police when he was apprehended. However, this name turned out to be false.(KW)
