Two girls, 15 and 16, and man, 27, on theft charge

A 15-year-old is among three persons arrested and charged jointly with the theft of a quantity of ladies shoes and other items.{{more}}

The girl and 16-year-old Shasta John, both of Diamond, were arrested and charged jointly with Darryl Cambridge, 27-year-old labourer of Cane Garden, for stealing the items valued at CDN$3,169.50, US$611.00, 25 pounds sterling and EC$95 – the property of Rashell Phillips of Cane Garden.

The items are alleged to have been stolen between October 16 and November 15, 2013.

The three appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court yesterday with the 15-year-old appearing in the presence of her aunt, after she explained to the court that her mother works on the Grenadine island of Canouan.

They were each put on $5,000 bail with one surety and are expected to return to court on December 2.(DD)
