Union Island man on remand pending medical report on alleged victim of attempted murder

Union Island resident Winston Scott will be held in custody for one week on an attempted murder charge, pending a medical report on his alleged victim.{{more}}

Scott appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday and did not plea to the indictable charge.

Prosecutor Inspector Adolphus Delpesche said the victim is still warded at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital nursing a stab wound she suffered on December 6.

He said she had since undergone surgery and had to be constantly monitored by doctors.

The prosecutor then requested a week’s adjournment for a medical report on the victim.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young granted the adjournment and Scott will return to court on Wednesday for bail review. (KW)
