Patricia Marks called to bar

Patricia Perlitha Marks, daughter of Patrick and Pearline Marks of La Croix, was called as a Barrister at Law and Solicitor of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (St Vincent and the Grenadines) on Friday, August 21, 2009.{{more}} Marks was presented in Chambers to Justice Frederick Bruce Lyle by Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves. Her brother Ronald Marks seconded the Application.

Ms Marks gained her LLB at the Holborn Law Tutors (U.K.) and pursued her Bar Vocational Course alongside the LLM at the University of North Umbria in Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom. She graduated from the BVC in July 2009 and received a Very Competent Award at the end of her studies. On July 23, 2009, Marks was called to the Degree of an Utter Barrister by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn in London. She is expected to graduate from her LLM programme in February 2010 after the submission of her dissertation.

Marks is currently employed at the Chambers of Marks, Martin & Associates, alongside her brother Ronald K. Marks, who has recently celebrated his tenth anniversary of being called to the Bar.
