Small gets $50,000 bail for weed possession

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young granted Winston Small $50,000 bail when he appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday 23rd Feburary.{{more}}

The 45-year-old was charged with having in his possession 48,124 grams of marijuana and for cultivating 53 marijuana plants at Campden Park Mountains. He pleaded not guilty to both charges.

Small, a farmer of Lowmans Hill, was remanded in custody because no surety appeared at the court.

His matter was adjourned to June 23, 2009. Small was represented by Lawyer Stephen Williams. (VM)
