Spence, who is charged for the December 20, 2005, double murders of Mable Pollin and her daughter Veronica Frederick addressed the court on Monday when the Criminal Assizes got underway.

The 40-year-old said that he has been feeling ill since he consumed food that had a nail in it during the Christmas season last year. “I don’t know way going on around there. I need some help,” said Spence. He also requested that his matter be called up for hearing soon because he has been in custody for far too long.
