Gordon fined $550 for weed

Ricky Gordon, a mechanic of Vermont, was on Tuesday fined $550 for being in possession of 322 grams of cannabis on August 1st.{{more}}

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young slapped the fine on Gordon and ordered that he pay the fine in two days or spend three months in jail.

Gordon said he and his “boys” were going to smoke the cannabis to celebrate freedom from slavery.

The facts in the matter stated that around 9:30 am members of the Narcotics Unit were on mobile patrol in Vermont when the defendant was seen walking along the public road with a bag in his hands.

Officers approached him and conducted a search on him and found the controlled substance in the bag he was carrying.
