Fisherman running out of time to pay fine
Time is swiftly running out for Calville Harry who has one week to pay a $1600 fine, or he will spend nine months behind bars.{{more}}
The 25-year-old fisherman, of Barrouallie, appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to having 1264 grams (two pounds) in his possession on August 4, 2008.
The facts in the matter stated that members of the Rapid Response Unit went to the defendantâs home to execute a search warrant. A black plastic bag containing the marijuana substance was found hidden under a piece of board between two blocks in a corner of the house.
Officers cautioned him and Harry replied, âOfficer, ah way me bring from Leeward and me smoke from.â
