Accused on $5,000 bail

After recently beating a rape charge and with a burglary charge pending at the High Court, 21-year-old Surgie Thomas of Simon has found himself on the wrong side of the law again.{{more}}

Thomas appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Monday and pleaded not guilty to having in his possession 2.471bs of cannabis with intent to supply at Old Montrose on November 24.

When he appeared before Coroner Stephen Huggins, he was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one surety and is to report to the Biabou Police station every Monday. He is scheduled to reappear in court on March 4 next year to answer the charge. (SB)
