Three arrested in Cell World heist

Police have arrested three men in connection with the recent burglary of local business place Cell World.{{more}}

New Montrose residents Matuba Butler, 29, gardener, Kevin Richards, 26, gardener and Curtis Williams, 24, mechanic, appeared at the Kingstown Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday before Senior Magistrate Donald Browne.

Both Butler and Richards were remanded to prison, while Williams was granted $10,000 bail for handling stolen goods.

Police told SEARCHLIGHT that between September 24 and 25, 2007, burglars entered the George’s Plaza building on Grenville Street and entered Cell World, walking away with $100,519 worth of electronic equipment, including cellular phones, blue tooth headsets, DVD players, mp3 players and digital cameras.(KW)
