Williams, a labourer of Sion Hill, appeared on Monday at the Serious Crimes Court and pled not guilty to the charge laid against him.{{more}}

Defense Counsel, Ronald Marks said that just to satisfy the court’s curiosity that they should take the leaves off the plant and weigh them to get the correct amount. “We have to do more instead of guessing what the amount is.”

Station Sergeant, Nigel Butcher strongly opposed Marks’ suggestion and said, “The Narcotics department has immense knowledge on drug matters than both of us.”

Williams was granted bail on the sum of $200 with one surety. The matter was adjourned to December 14, 2006.
