After completing her secondary education at the Girls’ High School she studied Pharmacology in Trinidad.

On her return to St. Vincent she joined the Civil Service where she made a sterling contribution and as a member defended the rights of the civil servants in their Association. She was a pioneer of the Government (now General) Employees Credit Union.

When she retired from the Civil Service she opened a flower shop called “Flowers and Fragrance” in the arcade at Cobble Stone Inn. This shop was affiliated to Interflora.

Needless to say she was a member of the Horticultural Society of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
